What we collect, why, where it goes and how long we keep it — for the businesses that subscribe to AbelEdge, for the people whose details those businesses keep in it, and for anyone who visits this website.
This policy covers three groups, and the rules differ for each:
| Data | Why we have it | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, work email, phone, company, role | To create and secure the account, and to contact you about it | Contract |
| Billing name, address, tax number, the last four digits of a card | To invoice and to meet tax law. The full card number is held by our payment processor, never by us | Contract; legal obligation |
| Login events, IP address, device and browser | To keep the account secure, to detect unauthorised access, and to enforce module-level access for staff | Legitimate interest (security) |
| How the product is used — screens opened, features run, errors | To support you, fix faults and improve the product | Legitimate interest (service) |
| Support correspondence | To answer you and to keep a record of what was agreed | Contract |
| Tokens for accounts you connect (Google, Meta, email, WhatsApp) | To do the work you connected them for. Stored encrypted; deleted when you disconnect | Contract; your instruction |
Whatever a customer puts into AbelEdge: client and lead records, conversations from connected channels, invoices and expenses, employee and payroll records, tasks, documents and files. We process it only to provide the service: to store it, back it up, show it to the people the customer authorises, run Kala’s scheduled checks across it, produce the reports the customer asks for, and send the messages the customer sends. We do not use it to advertise to anyone, sell it, or share it between customers.
Kala’s checks and the Intelligence Council’s reports are produced with third-party AI providers. We send a provider the records a specific check needs and no more; providers are used under their business terms, under which they do not use what we send to train their models. The current providers, and where they are, are listed on the Subprocessors page.
When you visit abeledge.com we record the page, the time, your IP address and browser in server logs, kept by our hosting providers on their own retention, not indefinitely. This site sets a first-party analytics identifier so we can see which pages lead to a demo request. When we run advertising, the site also loads the Google Ads and Meta conversion tags so we can tell which campaigns produced an enquiry; those companies’ own policies govern what they do with that signal. You can block third-party cookies in your browser without losing anything on this site.
When you request a demo we keep your name, work email, phone number and what you told us, to arrange the demo and to follow up on it. If you do not become a customer, the request is deleted when you ask, and we review old requests by hand rather than by a timer. We will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Only with the companies that help us run the service — hosting, storage, email delivery, SMS and WhatsApp delivery, payment processing, AI providers and the platforms you connect. Each one is named on the Subprocessors page with what it does and where it operates. We share the minimum each needs. We will also disclose data when the law requires it, and we will tell the affected customer unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with data brokers.
AbelEdge runs on infrastructure in the United States. Files and published pages are stored with Cloudflare, which serves them from the location nearest the reader. The AI providers we use also operate from the United States. Where a customer is in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction that restricts transfers, we rely on standard contractual clauses with each provider; a signed data-processing agreement is available on request.
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it corrected, ask for a copy, ask for it deleted, or object to a use of it. Write to info@abelops.com from the address on the account; we answer within thirty days and do not charge for it. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority. If you are a person in a customer’s records, we will pass your request to that customer and help them answer it.
Customers can do most of this themselves: every record can be edited, exported or deleted from inside the platform, and staff access is set by the account owner.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Owner and admin accounts can turn on two-factor authentication and we recommend it. Staff access is limited by module, server-side, so a person given access to tasks does not see invoices. Our own staff reach customer data only through audited tools and only for support you have asked for or a fault we are fixing. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you within seventy-two hours of confirming it, with what was affected and what we are doing.
AbelEdge is a business service and is not offered to anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for a material change, email account owners at least thirty days before it takes effect.
